Establishing the Internet information concept for the
villagers
To help the villagers have an idea on the Internet information,
the news was announced at Sunday school of the Church. Computer
teaching was made at the computer class-rooms of Pinghe Branch,
Wutang Elementary School in Wutang Town, Pingtung County. The
elders felt surprised and excited when they saw their pictures
on the website. Not having computers at home, the villagers
already had the idea of the Internet. Whenever at the church or
activities of the village, everyone paid more attention to what
they wore in order to leave a beautiful picture on the website.
Thanks to this, the villagers called me Mr. Internet. What
really makes me happy is the villagers have the idea of the
Internet.

The charm of holding cultural activities via the website
We held twice Original Sound and Dance Culture festivals. With
the promotion of the website, many people visited the village to
watch the activities. In addition to performances of traditional
songs and dances as well as exhibit of cultural relics, the
villagers also earned quite income a day. Many people thought
they were local activities and did not realize later that they
were actually cultural activities of the village. The Indigenous
People Magazine of Taiwan Public Television Service made two
interviews of these activities. Reports of other media also
agreed with our activities. The villagers experienced the charm
of attracting people via activities made through the website.

Establishing the video and audio
information
of the website
To enrich the website information and pass forward the village
culture, I established the video and audio information on the
network server of Wutang Elementary School and then connected
the information to the village website. I videotaped the
traditional song singing of the villagers on Sunday afternoons,
village cultural activities and farm produce. In the meanwhile,
I also prepared the voice teaching materials of the mother
tongue. Such materials can be viewed and heard on the website.
The video and audio materials of the website is also available
on True Love 176 of Hinet. On the afternoons of last Sunday of
each month, we viewed such materials via the projector at the
church. The villagers seem to be at their own TV station. The
static materials improved to the audio and video materials
present the diversity of the website and show the improvement of
the technology.
